About the Coach

Susan Cook, Career Coach, Santa Rosa
Susan Cook has always had a knack for inspiring others to succeed. As a sales and marketing executive, she always made it a priority to ensure her staff achieved their personal best. Although she experienced a good deal of success in the corporate world, she's also faced her own unexpected career turns. Having been on both sides of the desk, she has lots of "in the trenches" strategies and tips for her clients.
Susan's wit, warmth, and practical wisdom have empowered hundreds of job seekers of all ages to find success, satisfaction, and fulfillment at work. In addition to her private practice, she's been a coach and consultant for two Bay Area career resource centers (Career Action Center and Alumni Resources). As a consultant for the outplacement firm of Spherion, she empowered professionals of all levels through job transition and search in a variety of industries including banking, biotech, financial services, health care and high tech. While a career counselor at Saint Mary's College in Moraga, California, Susan worked with hundreds of college students and alumni helping them launch their careers.
Susan earned her master's degree in Career Development from John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, California. In addition to certification in a variety of career assessment tools, she is also a member of the National Career Development Association, American Psychological Association, and Bay Area Association of Psychological Type.
She is passionate about helping people of all ages develop the awareness, resources, attitudes, and strategies to make successful transitions and take control of their lives. In the words of Barbara Sher, "Isolation is the Dream Killer" and reaching your potential is best done with support!
